This Week At The Drugstore

Wet N Wild Color Icon eyeshadows

Happy first Sunday of fall! It is officially my favorite season and to celebrate I treated myself to a few things from CVS. Just kidding, I’m not that frivolous but I did have coupons on coupons on top of good deals on some items I have had my eye on. Spoiler alert: I only spent $11.92 on everything.

Wet N Wild Comfort Zone

From a previous purchase that I never mentioned (oops!) I received an $8 coupon from CvS which was expiring soon. Coincidentally, Wet n Wild products were Buy 2 Get the 3rd free at CVS and I immediately knew this was my time to get the famous Comfort Zone eyeshadow palette. A review may be coming very soon as I have more than a bit to say about this palette. CVS price for this is $5.29.

Wet n Wild I'm Getting Sunburned, Sweet As Candy

For the other two items I picked up two more of the Wet n Wild Color Icon eyeshadow palettes, this time the trios in I’m Getting Sunburned and Sweet As Candy. I don’t think I’ve heard as much about these two as I have about Comfort Zone but they looked pretty enough. CVS price is $3.29.

After using my CVS card for the deal and my coupon I ended up paying $1.22 for these three. A few days later CVS e-mailed me another $5 coupon that led to the next two items…

PHYSICIANS FORMULA Argan Wear Blush

The Physician’s Formula Argan Wear Blush in Natural and Rose Rush. CVS is the only place I buy Physician’s Formula and this is why: these were Buy 1 Get 1 75% off! For a drugstore brand, they are not so drugstore priced and more often than not you can find some sort of special at CVS that lessens the blow to your wallet significantly.

Somehow I also had a coupon for $2 off any $8 Physician’s Formula purchase, now let me break it down: these retail for $12.99 each and after taxes my total was about $29, after the discount it was about $17 plus my $5 coupon plus the $2 coupon and I ended up paying $10.72. Put differently, I paid $5.36 for each one, is that a steal or what?!

Needless to say, if there is a CVS near you and you don’t have a CVS card you need to run out and get one. And check their weekly ad online every Sunday.
