When micellar waters first hit the American market and grew in popularity I was beside myself with excitement. Then they released variations and I was unsure but curious and decided to try one, the Garnier one for waterproof makeup. At the time I also said I’d start using waterproof makeup hence why I bought it, that did not happen. What did happen was that I hated it, I used it all but I hated it. Continue reading
The saying goes “Better late than never!” and late I am with this floral trend. Is it even a trend still? Months back Lancôme introduced their La Rôse Blush Poudre and it was stunning and makeup lovers fawned over it and then they fainted at the price tag of a mere $60. Lancôme was selling a paper flower covered in powdered blush inside a cardboard box that probably isn’t very practical for $60…yeah, no. People quickly made their own, more affordable versions at home and today I am sharing with you how I made my highlighter version of it. Continue reading
Here is something I haven’t done in a long, long time: this week at the drugstore! Theres a few items I had my eye on for some time, a couple that were on sale, and necessities. For the first time in months, I had a good time wandering up and down the aisles looking at products. Continue reading
There are two reasons I am back to blogging. One, I had a box full of empties and I mean full. Two, I had so many empties of tried and true products I feel good again about trying new products. Grab some moscato and get ready to read, or marvel at how many products I have been able to use up since my last empties post at the end of January. Continue reading
In one of my last posts, months ago, I mentioned changing it up and that I wanted to talk just a tad less about makeup and I had just decorated my apartment. It only took me about five months of living here and my friend shaming me for not having couch pillows to get me started. This was back in March I want to say so a few things have changed or I’ve added and that may come in later post but for the most part this is my apartment decor, and on a budget! Continue reading
If there is a perfect time to write about a product it’s probably when you’ve used it all up. If that is the case then I have some catching up to do… I recently finished a tube of the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle Cream Night and not to give too much away but I don’t see a difference. Not to say that is a bad thing. Continue reading
We may as well be halfway through April and I just now am able to put up my March favorites. What did I even do all month? Besides celebrating my birthday and lamenting having to pay for my own health insurance… For the first time in a while I have new products to talk about, so that’s exciting, and I also have some oldies but very goodies. Continue reading
The Universe works in mysterious ways. Last weekend I was at my friend’s birthday brunch in Santana Row and afterward we started walking around, popping in and out of shops. One of the shops I wandered into was Warby Parker. Well, woe and behold a few days later there is an email in my inbox from Warby Parker inviting me to help them announce their Haskell Flash Mirror Collection!
If you weren’t ready for summer, you will be after looking at these. Continue reading
Insert a gif of Dr. Evil doing air quotes here. Most people really treat themselves for their birthday and buy the expensive palette on their wishlist, I on the other hand bought a bunch of stuff I’ve been wanting but not really needing. It also helped that Ulta gave me double points all month, was offering 5x points on some products I had an eye on, and their regular double points offer. Continue reading
I think I need to set myself reminders to blog since it’s the end of March and the last time I posted was….The days melt together and I keep finding weekend activities to keep me busy. With the days getting longer and hence better lighting for photos, I hope to be better about it. Fingers crossed.
Sooo, I’ve had this mascara since Christmas and it’s been hiding in my makeup bag ever since. But why? Continue reading
