I love trying new places, especially local mom and pop types. Current me shakes her head at younger, college me that frequented the national chains and ate generic franchise food, hardly worth the calories in retrospect. Today I am much more selective about where I eat and where I spend my money, away adulthood, but I am here to tell you that Southern Kitchen in Los Gatos is worth it. Continue reading
Well it’s been a while and while I will not say “I’m back!” I will say, I am not done yet. Moscato and Mascara was an important part of my life and though it has not been active for quite some time it remains important. Read on to find out what has been going on and what is next for M&M! In one of my last posts, months ago, I mentioned changing it up and that I wanted to talk just a tad less about makeup and I had just decorated my apartment. It only took me about five months of living here and my friend shaming me for not having couch pillows to get me started. This was back in March I want to say so a few things have changed or I’ve added and that may come in later post but for the most part this is my apartment decor, and on a budget! Continue reading
Clearly I have not been writing and posting as much as I want to, so what have I been doing instead? The short answer is traveling and starting a new job. The long answer is below. Continue reading
Happy New Year ya’ll! I hope everyone had a marvelous eve and that you’re not too hungover today. I am starting 2017 with a collab with Ashley from MakeupBeautyAsh and we’re going to share what is in our gym bags. Ashley is a certified personal trainer and I am a cardio junkie, so we have both ends of the workout spectrum covered. Continue reading
Life is better with glitter and I responsibly apply it to every thing I can, including makeup brushes. This year I have seen an increase in girly and cute sets of makeup brushes yet the majority are still plain old black. While I can’t show you how to carve your makeup brushes into unicorn horns, I can show you how to jazz them up for less than a dollar. Continue reading
I am not back, and I don’t know when I will be back. Clearly I have not posted in a while, if anyone cares, and that is not only because of simple blogging fatigue and blogging rut but a few other things. Continue reading
If being MIA lately isn’t enough, I’m going on vacation for three weeks now! The last two weeks I have had no energy and this week my boss asked me to work overtime, including Saturday. Not that I’m complaining, I have an amazing boss and I get free lunch.
So now I am off and probably will not be on as I’m not packing my laptop. My boyfriend and I are doing a one week road trip through Sweden and Norway before heading to his home in Germany, where I will probably go on a makeup buying binge. Yay!
All of that will be on my Instagram (@allieveryday) if anyone cares.
See you next month!
Happy Friday! As much as I am looking forward to a fun-filled weekend, I will once again be on Team No Sleep and have little time to blog. Such has been the case since my Denver trip and only made worse by daylight savings. Seriously, is it still necessary? At least I found time and energy to write a quick review of an eyeliner I have not been able to put down. Continue reading
Do I even need to explain myself at this point? Unless you haven’t checked Instagram, YouTube, beauty forums, or beauty blogs in the last couple of months then surely you have heard of the Nivea Men Post Shave Balm and its use as a makeup primer. It sounds crazy yes, but when this idea began to gain traction late last year I decided to jump on the bandwagon. I have been using this for about two months now and finally remembered to jot down my experience. Continue reading
