The Universe works in mysterious ways. Last weekend I was at my friend’s birthday brunch in Santana Row and afterward we started walking around, popping in and out of shops. One of the shops I wandered into was Warby Parker. Well, woe and behold a few days later there is an email in my inbox from Warby Parker inviting me to help them announce their Haskell Flash Mirror Collection!
If you weren’t ready for summer, you will be after looking at these. Continue reading
Insert a gif of Dr. Evil doing air quotes here. Most people really treat themselves for their birthday and buy the expensive palette on their wishlist, I on the other hand bought a bunch of stuff I’ve been wanting but not really needing. It also helped that Ulta gave me double points all month, was offering 5x points on some products I had an eye on, and their regular double points offer. Continue reading
I think I need to set myself reminders to blog since it’s the end of March and the last time I posted was….The days melt together and I keep finding weekend activities to keep me busy. With the days getting longer and hence better lighting for photos, I hope to be better about it. Fingers crossed.
Sooo, I’ve had this mascara since Christmas and it’s been hiding in my makeup bag ever since. But why? Continue reading
Happy March ya’ll! I can honestly and without cliché say that March snuck up on me. Hell, mid-February snuck up on me and whatever half-thought plans I had in mind went out the window. I think I can also say that I had fun with makeup and blogging in February, a turn around from the previous month or two, with my first destash and empties post. And now, I also have February favorites. Products that I looked at mid-month and said, “Oh yes, you are a going in there!” Continue reading
Sometimes I wonder if it’s worth it to to post about “old” products, products that have been in stores for months or years. Maybe. It still gives me sanity so here it goes…
What girly girl wouldn’t want this beautiful blush in their collection? The Milani Rose Powder Blushes have been around for over a while I and I picked up my first one last, last December. It’s been a while but long enough to write about it. Mine is in the shade Tea Rose, Continue reading
Coming up on two years of blogging and I am just getting around to some proper destashing. There were things I looked at everyday and wondered why I still had them, and there were products in stores I lusted after and never bought because I had so much stuff at home. Continue reading
This post is uncharted territory for me, even after a year and half of blogging. I have never done an empties post, partly because I am too forgetful and toss everything in the bin and partly because it takes me three months to collect enough bottles for a single post. These are empties from about October to mid-January, for as many products as I have I don’t go through them that fast. Continue reading
Clearly I have not been writing and posting as much as I want to, so what have I been doing instead? The short answer is traveling and starting a new job. The long answer is below. Continue reading
We are two weeks into the new year, how is 2017 treating everyone so far? I have been busy or tired, like I went to bed at 7:00 p.m. last night, and have a life update coming soon. I tried to prepare this post last month before l went on vacation and I took a different approach. Instead of digging through my collection for an hour looking for favorites, I grabbed the first things that came to mind. I figured that was the most honest way to do this, or the laziest. Any products I forgot will be mentioned at the end. Continue reading
Happy New Year ya’ll! I hope everyone had a marvelous eve and that you’re not too hungover today. Ashley is a certified personal trainer and I am a cardio junkie, so we have both ends of the workout spectrum covered. Continue reading
