This Week At The Drugstore + BH Cosmetics

BH Cosmetics haul

In order to cram in a few more product reviews before doing my October favorites, I have decided to combine two posts into one: my weekly drugstore buys and my latest BH Cosmetics order.  Besides, I didn’t buy much this week and what I did buy I am truly excited about.

Starting with what arrived first: a BH Cosmetics order that I said I wouldn’t place but I did. Oops.

BH Cosmetics Nude Rose Palette

The first ting I put in my cart is their new Nude Rose palette. This palette looked stunning on their Instagram account and I was bound to get it at one point or another. I’m going to use this exclusively this week to test it but quite frankly, I don’t remember being so excited for an eyeshadow palette.

Their prices fluctuate but I think I paid $14.50.

BH Cosmetics Floral Blush Duo Iris Bombshell Bronze Starlet

I continue collecting their Floral Blush Duos, this time with Iris for $5. And to qualify for the free shipping plus free gift I added their Bombshell Bronze Illuminating Bronze in Starlet for $6.50. This is a product for which you need to find swatches prior to buying because the picture on their website looks dull. I’ve had my eye on it since I started ordering from BH so fingers crossed!

Pink Perfection with Kabuki Blush Palette

But these were just sitting in my cart until this came along as the tipping point to make me hit the “Checkout” button. The Pink Perfection with Kabuki Blush Palette was a must have when I saw it on Instagram. It costs $3 and all proceeds to to the Young Survival Coalition in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I didn’t know how long it would be around so I just ordered it, along with everything else already in my cart.

My free gift with purchase was small four piece set of travel brushes with a case. I’m thinking these might be useful for work, but I wasn’t thrilled with them. But for free I can’t complain.

Profusion Studio Highlighter Palette

Normally I would pay no attention to Profusion brand palettes at Marshall’s and the like, but when I saw swatches of their Studio Highlight Palette on The Budget Beauty Blog I was in awe. If I didn’t find it I wouldn’t be heartbroken but I was at Marshall’s and found an intact palette for $3.99 and snatched it.

E.L.F. Gotta Glow

Then I hopped over to Target and aimlessly wandered the makeup isle when I spotted this: the E.L.F. “blush” in Gotta Glow. I can’t recall how I heard about this blush that is actually a highlighter, but I know I’d never seen it in stores or in stock online. I had $3 to spare so why not?

I hope ya’ll enjoyed this weekly post because I plan, keyword plan, on going on a semi-strict no-buy. I have so many products to try, test, and review, I want to give everything a good try before buying more (unless the Carli Bybel palette is back in stock on BhCosmetics.com, then all bets are off!).
