Milani Rose Powder Blush in Tea Rose

Milani Rose Powder Brush in Tea Rose

Sometimes I wonder if it’s worth it to to post about “old” products, products that have been in stores for months or years. Maybe. It still gives me sanity so here it goes…

What girly girl wouldn’t want this beautiful blush in their collection? The Milani Rose Powder Blushes have been around for over a while I and I picked up my first one last, last December. It’s been a while but long enough to write about it. Mine is in the shade Tea Rose,

Obviously, I have to start with the packaging. It’s a light gold compact with a clear lid and a massive 17g of blush embossed into a rose shape. Pro tip: when buying these they should have a plastic seal around the edges. Mine didn’t, someone scratched the rose, and I had to drive back to CVS to a less than reassuring, “Of course it was open!” (Not blaming me but unhygienic customers that open things and ruin them.)

In typical Me fashion, I held off on using this for a while because I didn’t want to ruin that beautiful shape. Thankfully, it looks like it will take a while to make a dent in there because there is so much product in there, it is so densely packed so a brush doesn’t pick up a ton of powder, and I have 30 other blushes to go through.

To the touch it feels a little dry (dare I say chalky?) and one swipe of the finger will hardly give you a swatch. With a brush, I need to swirl it around once or twice to pick up enough product hence it is not crazy pigmented so it can be built up. Personally, I like blushes like that as they give you more control over your look.

This swatch required quite a few passes to show the color which is a soft pink perfect for spring. At first I didn’t think much of it, compared to my other 30 blushes this was nothing more than a pretty compact. A year later it’s become one of my go-to’s for an everyday pink blush. Since I left my number one go-to Catrice blush  at my boyfriend’s house, this has filled the role quite well. Everyday pretty, gorgeous packaging, and it survives the work-day, I say it’s a winner.

These blushes retail for about $7-10, and now available at Target! TARGET!

On a personal note: I’ve started taking the train to work and I love it. My job expenses the monthly pass, I enjoy the walk from the station to my office, I have discovered new businesses on a street I thought I knew, I can read instead of cursing at other cars, and I fill up on gas half as much! Unlike the buses, there is no wifi onboard but I don’t mind it one bit.

Bis gleich and don’t forget to follow!
